The lightweight LWRCI IC DI Mark II Target / Varmint gun is a precision long-range .223 AR-type semi-automatic rifle. It’s a member of the expansive LWRCI IC-DI family and takes advantage of all its features and functionality, differing only in several key points that follow.

The IC DI Mark II Target has an LWRCI Monoforge upper receiver, 18.1” long barrel, an extended length 14” long M-LOK free float handguard, seamless extended-length Picatinny accessory rail, total length of 38" and 7.75 pound weight. Thus, its dimensions exceed much of the rest of the IC DI family’s more common 16.1” barrel length, 32” to 35.25” total length and 6.6 pound weight.

An extended-length M-LOK handguard hangars the barrel. Half visible through the M-LOK ports is the 18.1” long cold hammer forged heavy barrel. It’s Ni-Corr (black nitride) finished, has a 1 to 7” RH twist, 6 grooves and a ½”-28 TPI thread.

The Mark II Target is fronted by LWRCI’s new Ultra Muzzle Brake, which has four chambers and trio of top compensator ports that liaise to reduce felt-recoil and muzzle jump to very low levels. The gun has an eye-catching LWRCI’s SnakeSkin pistol grip with scale-like diamond texturing, hence the name. It also has a bottom cap that cleverly hides a storage compartment.

The Mark II features the Geissele Super Semi-Automatic Enhanced (SSA-E) two-stage trigger. This little component is non-adjustable, but it’s very highly rated and has a 2.9 to 3.8 pound pull weight. This breaks down further into a first stage pull weight of 2.0 to 2.5 pounds followed by a very light and crisp second stage weight of 0.9 to 1.3 pounds.

LWRCI is highly vertically integrated and makes many components such as grips, mounts, sights, magazines, handguards and stocks in house. This said, it’s perhaps surprising that at back is a Magpul MOE Rifle Stock instead of LWRCI’s own Compact Adjustable Stock. But Magpul’s MOE Rifle Stock is excellent, and it’s Made in America. It has a thin anti-slip rubber butt pad. The pad plate is hinged and opens to reveal a storage compartment. You can add an accessory rail to the MOE Rifle Stock’s bottom. It also has several sling points.

All wealth of attributes makes the gun ready to shoot out of the box. The rest of the gun is essentially common to the rest of the IC DI series. Like the rest of the IC DI family, the Mark II features a "keyless" direct impingement bolt carrier design. Additionally, the gun is fully ambidextrous. In other words, the charging handle, magazine release, bolt catch/release and fire selector are all ambidextrous.
